Attorney with the Paris Bar since 1997, Sylvain obtained a DESS (baccalaureat + 5 with training program) in Computer Law at Paris XI after having obtained a Masters in Business Law and a DEA in Public Finance and Taxation at the University of Paris II – Assas.

These various experiences enabled him to act both as a counsel and a litigator with numerous French and foreign IT and telecom service providers (Integrator, SSII, Editors, Operators, etc.), as well as their clients. He has practiced in the heart of the net economy both before and after the bursting of the Internet bubble. With the IT security company LEXSI, he set up and still is in charge of training cycles 5 times per year intended for ISDs and RSSI.

In its 2004/2005 classification of the best French law firms, the magazine "Décideurs Stratégie Finance Droit" designated Staub & Partners as having a reputed practice in the fields of "Computer Law", "Internet Law" and "Telecommunications Law".

At the time of the 2005 Law and Litigation Trophies, Staub & Partners received the Trophy for the Upcoming Team in the category "Law of Information Technologies”.

He is a teaching assistant in computer law at the University of Paris V.

Sylvain has written numerous articles about Computer Law and Intellectual Property Law. He frequently lectures for conferences or professional training cycles.
