Member of the Paris Bar, Sylvia Israel holds a Master’s degree in Intellectual property law (Paris II Panthéon-Assas University), after a Master’s certificate in international law.
Prior to joining Staub & Associés, She was an associate at Deprez, Guignot & Associés (DDG) for 2 years advising on issues relating to trademarks, copyright, and information technology law, in various business areas (broadcasting,, luxury goods advertising, e-commerce, media, software editors, etc.).
She later joined a full service firm where she was active in business litigation and drafting contracts . This gave her the opportunity to assist clients before civil and commercial courts on a regular basis, including specific litigation before the Court of Appeal related to trademark registration with the INPI (the French National Intellectual Property Office). In addition to her studies, Sylvia has always been interested in Japanese and Chinese languages and cultures, and to this effect chose to write a Master’s research essay on intellectual property rights in China.
Sylvia joined the firm in March 2010. Her main areas of practice are intellectual property law, IT law, as well as commercial litigation.
She is 29 years old and spends her free time writing short stories, watching movies,, volunteering as first aid teacher or traveling.
